We offer the original DA mufflers due to repeated requests from countries such as Greece, Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Iceland.
Their undeniable advantages are their easy installation into the cowlings of ARF wooden structures and the first-class running characteristics of the engines across the entire speed range. With mufflers mounted directly on the cylinder, resonance-related speed jumps cannot occur.
Thanks to the extremely large cross-sections of the exhaust pipes, the DA engines still achieve good performance and are not prone to overheating. Many so-called "Pitts-style mufflers" are particularly critical in this regard. The DA mufflers are welded from aluminum tubes and are prepared for a smoke connection.
The catch is their indescribable noise level – compared to the DA mufflers, Zenoah standard silencers can be considered super quiet! We therefore expressly recommend not using the DA mufflers at model airfields with any kind of noise restrictions!
