Billing Boats Northland Beach 1/20
This type of vessel, from northern Norway, dates back to the 17th century. Used as a fishing boat, it was seen more frequently from the 18th century onwards, being replaced only when motor-powered fishing boats began to appear. These boats were extremely efficient and very seaworthy. They represent the form and culture of fishing that originated in Viking times. These boats are still built today and are used in competitions and regattas all along the northern coast of Norway.
