including 3D CAD and stereo lithography.
The DA-50R features an incredibly compact and lightweight crankcase, only made possible by the single-web crankshaft. Each individual housing is CNC-machined from solid, high-strength 7075-T6 aluminum aircraft alloy. Compared to cast housings, this represents an enormous effort in series production. Key advantages include perfect fits and 100% aligned bearing seats, as well as far superior strength and rigidity. All crucial prerequisites for a high-performance engine with a long service life and low production variation.

Not least thanks to the high-gloss aluminum surface, the DA-50R also looks outrageously good; it's almost too good to hide under the hood.

The long connecting rod and the connecting rod bearing positioned very high on the piston transmit the high torque with low lateral forces and ensure good piston guidance in the cylinder. This reduces friction and wear and increases performance. With well-adapted mufflers, the DA-50R is comparable to or more powerful than 60 cc engines.

The pistons, connecting rods, and crankshaft were perfectly balanced and matched using simulation and optimization programs. Despite its single-web crankshaft, the DA-50R offers very low vibration levels. The engine mounting points are located far forward—this is absolutely perfect for our Hydro Mount system!
