The battery-powered night-flying blades are the simplest way to illuminate large models indirectly. Based on the standard LARGE and XLARGE systems, these blades include a central battery holder on each light blade to accommodate a small, weight-optimized LiPo battery. The battery simply snaps in place and is held by mounting rings – and the system is active. The LARGE system can be used for a single 8-10 minute flight with a fully charged battery. The delicate yet highly robust carbon fiber tube construction delivers intense light output at low weight, without significantly affecting flight characteristics.

Compared to wired systems, the light output of the lightweight battery systems is somewhat lower, but the system is immediately ready for use with no wiring or soldering required on the airframe. In the delivered condition, the tubes and plates are only pre-assembled and can still be shortened and aligned on the model. This allows for optimal lighting. Once positioned, the arms are permanently fixed with a few drops of epoxy. Asymmetric mounting is also possible (e.g., a shorter arm near the ground).
