We've learned so much over the past 4 years. That said, it was time for us to take a different direction, with performance in mind. Some good things must come to an end for even greater things to begin. The all-new bearings are made from a hybrid layout .
This hybrid arrangement is an advantage on many points:
1) We gain a lot in terms of weight
2) There is still heat dissipation on the pinion assembly thanks to the 7075-T6 pinion carrier
3) Height adjustment of pinion assemblies can be done with minimal effort, fewer parts and in less time.
4) All parts needed to adjust the differential height will be included in the kit at no extra cost. This applies to both the pinion and the differential.
5) A lower CG.
On the new SRX8GTE '23 model, we've lengthened the chassis by an additional 2mm to improve handling. This brings the wheelbase to 330mm +/- 2.5mm. In addition to the improved handling, there's now more clearance between the batteries and the motor shaft and pinion. The shape has also been updated to accommodate our new front/rear pivot mount as well as to increase strength in the narrow area at the front curvature.
On the new '23 SRX8GTE car, we really wanted to improve the dampers. The plan was to reduce friction on the shaft, increase the damper volume, and give the drivers even more adjustment options.
