Introduction
Designed and developed by North American Aviation, the F-86 Saber was one of the world's first jet-powered fighter aircraft. Many other technological innovations were also incorporated into the design, meaning that the aircraft was responsible for turning the tide in air combat in favor of the USA, for example during the Korean War. In total, nearly 10,000 Sabers were built in various variants, and now the E-flite® UMX™ F-86 Saber 30mm EDF allows more RC pilots than ever before to own and fly a replica of the legendary aircraft. It is one of the most detailed ultra-micro models ever and due to the 4S compatible drive system it is also the most powerful ducted fan model in its class to date!

Overview
The F-86 Saber is one of the most iconic and recognizable fighter aircraft ever built. As one of the first jet-powered fighter aircraft with swept wings, it achieved an unrivaled kill rate of 10 to 1 against the MiG-15 in the Korean War. Lieutenant Jim Thompson was credited with shooting down two MiGs during this time, one of which had a dragon painted on its side. Shortly thereafter, he had a similar dragon painted on the side of his legendary F-86 and named it “The Huff.” The E-flite UMX F-86 Saber 30mm EDF is an ultra-micro model of this famous aircraft, and comes factory assembled and ready to fly, including a high quality, fully painted finish with waterslide decals. It is equipped with an updated and optimized 4S-compatible propulsion system to meet today's EDF performance expectations - making it the most powerful ultra-micro class jet model to date! It also features expertly tuned AS3X and optional SAFE Select technology, providing real-time battery voltage and other telemetry information with compatible transmitters. And due to the ultra-micro size, experienced pilots can fly the UMX F-86 in more places and in smaller spaces than most other EDF models, such as many large parks and sports fields! The fixed landing gear with steerable nose wheel makes taxiing, take-off and landing on smooth surfaces easier. Or you can remove the landing gear to achieve more airspeed and vertical climb performance and - thanks to the automatic Hand Launch Assist mode - carry out easy hand launches and belly landings on grass runways. It all adds up to an authentic, affordable and practical F-86 flying experience that you won't find on any other model!

Experience Level 2 – Some experience required
Experience Level 2 aircraft like this are suitable for RC pilots who already have some experience and the skills to build, program and fly similar class models. And while this is the easiest F-86 model to date, it is neither a suitable first RC aircraft for beginners nor recommended as a first ducted fan model for advanced RC pilots. Before attempting to fly the UMX F-86 Saber 30mm EDF, you should have the experience and skills necessary to master simpler EDF models such as the E-flite Habu SS (Super Sport) 50mm or 70mm.
