When the Champion Aircraft Corporation introduced the Citabria (an acronym for airbatic - spelled backwards) in 1964, pilots fell in love with its handling and flying capabilities, but it wasn't long before they were looking for an aircraft with even greater potential. Able to withstand stresses of +5 to -2 g. “Outside” maneuvers were simply not possible.
Coming off the production line in 1970, the 8KCAB Decathlon was capable of withstanding acrobatic efforts of between +6g and -5g and was therefore an instant success.

Designed on the Xtreme Decathlon N62FE model, beautifully detailed and boasting an impressive wingspan of 3m09, Seagull has outdone itself with this large, fully acrobatic 50cc++ model.
Created entirely for advanced, 3D aerobatics, this superbly finished model is built and covered to Seagull's exacting standards, with some lovely scale touches. Expect a hinged cockpit door, nicely painted fiberglass parts (including cowl and spats), cockpit space, fully suspended rear wheel, lights, flaps, reinforcement wires , layouts, fittings and furnishings…
Regardless, the Decathlon 50cc from Seagull is a beautiful model.
